There are over 20 sites around the Garden Route, each sites varies in required skill level, scenery, wind direction etc.. So whether your a newbie to the world of paragliding or you down here on tour, its always good to get some local knowledge. Here at dolphin paragliding we have flying and maintaining these sites for over 10 years. So we can tell you every thing you every thing you need to know.

As with all our paragliding sites, we have been given permission from the land owners, so please respect the sites and their rules. Some sites are seasonal and some are in airspace, So please make sure you know the restrictions that are applicable for each site. Most sites have 'Site Board' so check them before you fly.

Most of the sites are open to all but some have to get special access , or in airspace, so please make sure you know the restrictions that are applicable to us.
All pilots must be a member of SAHPA, whether permanent, foreign, or a temporary member, you will be required to prove current membership.

All our sites of Skywings Paragliding Club are associated to the Garden Site System which gathers funds to maintian the many sites under there control .

WEATHER INFORMATION:
Best time of year is usually October - April for training. With constant wind patterns and low rainfall, the Garden Route is a reliable free flying region.
