Guiding Services :
We offer a variety of paragliding guiding services for flying within the Garden Route and concentrate on mainly the Wilderness , Knysna and Sedgefield sites . We have 20 years of local experience relating to the weather and launch sites . Some of the sites were opened and developed by Deon Borrett and so has intimate knowledge of the lesser know sites like Tolberg , Serpentine and Goose valley .
General guiding : Information on where and when to fly and briefing on site .We offer 2 recovery pick us if landing at the bottom R 500-00 per day
Instructional Guiding : we offer Information , Site briefing , and radio input throughout your flights we offer unlimited recovery pickups : R 500-00 per day and R 300-00 per flight
Reunion Island Paragliding Tour 2015 :September 24th October 8th 2015
Join our professional team of Instructors for an adventure of a lifetime in the tropical island of Reunion .We offer Transport and Accommodation and Guiding as well as XC training Course to help young pilots to improve their skills .We will land in the evening of the 24th September 2015 and leave on the morning of the 8th of October 2015 so we will have 12 full days of flying. Flying is normally done in the morning and afternoon sessions so at least two flights a day will be done. The flying conditions are light thermic and the landing is on the beaches. Some day’s top landing is possible. Sites vary from 800 m - 1400m so the views are quite scenic. The volcanic Island forms a wind shadow as the 3000m high mountain range protects the west side from the Trade winds . We will have input from our local friend Eric Gentelet an Instructor of Paragliding and Hangliding with over 35 years’ experience and intimate knowledge of the Reunion sites and weather.
Reunion is beautiful Island and flying is only a small part of potential adventure activities. The period of the year is dry and watersports is nice as the sea is warm. Other things to do is hiking, fishing, water rafting, climbing, cycling (all types) , just about every adventure sport is practiced here . We stay on the west side and so sunset is seen every day over the ocean and it’s normally rather pretty , especially with Reunion Rum in your hand. We plan a special trip to active volcano which resides at 3000 high and will be guided by the only guide allowed to give the group hike my friend Eric Gentelet . Scenic and training flights with a plane are also available with my friend Vincet Bouget . Whales will be seen from the air and trips to go see the Humpback whales via boat are available daily .
Paragliding : XC Course includes theory and setting routes to complete and recovery .

We had a great group visiting the Garden route for some nice paragliding .
Our Team has a full time Paragliding Woman Tandem Pilot and in high Season we have two lady Pilots a first in South Africa .
Lucille Bueble came up through the ranks and worked very hard to attain her status as one of the very few working female pilots within South Africa . Lucille started as a ground assistant and then started to learn to paraglide and we quickly saw the talent and dedication and enrolled her on a Instructors course . She is now our Manager of our Team and full time Instructor as well as Team pilot .
Hartenbos Mossel Bay Paragliding sites have been having problems as the Municipality has been trying to fine and warn pilots from flying in the area . Skywings Paragliding Club has been trying to develop formal agreements with the Municipality for over 2 years so that our sign boards and rules and be put in place for everyones safety and information . We have a meeting recently with Mossel Bay Municipality and they have given us the application forms for consent use of there land . This will take a few months to process . This is also an expensive outlay for the club as the costs are over R 5000-00 for application and adverts .
Pilots are still flying and have not been harassed for a period now . There are landowner complaints about pilots who are using there lawns as launches . Please all pilots behave we dont want to jeopordize the site .
